Under the Climate Commitment Act, “A minimum of not less than 10 percent of total investments that are used for programs, activities, or projects formally supported by a resolution of an Indian tribe, with priority given to otherwise qualifying projects directly administered or proposed by an Indian tribe” (RCW 70A.65.230).

In examining Washington’s Climate Commitments through the Risk of Repeal database, we have mapped over $2 billion in near-term investments into Buildings, Innovation, and Clean Energy; Natural and Working Lands; Adaptation, Participation, and Resilience; Clean or car-free transportation, and Fish Barrier and Habitat. For Tribal Nations, the Risk of Repeal includes 246 mapped commitments totaling $236 million in authorized investments – 11.5% of the investment mapped to date.
